One of the most fun ways to get a peek into another person’s life is to experience their city like a local would -- with a homebase in a their space. LifeSwap takes the fun of living how a stranger does one step further. We’ve teamed up with AirBnB to give you a taste of what it’s like to step into someone else’s shoes. We can safely say that this is the best giveaway of any SXSW party around.
Taking place on the 30th of September at Melkweg, the first Luxembourg Sounds Like… in Amsterdam will be the perfect occasion to (re)discover Luxembourg’s most interesting and promising electronic acts: Say Yes Dog, whose debut album Plastic Love mixed by Ash Workman (Metronomy, Christine and the Queens, …) earned them the title of “Next big thing” from Noisey/Vice, When 'Airy Met Fairy, where everything happens between the exceptional voice of Icelandic singer Thorunn and the undulating melodies, deep synth bass and electronic sounding drums, and the electronica duo Napoleon Gold, a project in which electronic sounds are mixed with energetic drums, smooth Rhodes and reverberating guitars.
Say Yes Dog is embarking on the next step : their debut album “Plastic Love” mixed by Ash Workman (Metronomy, Christine and the Queens, …). Expect enticing electronic pop filled to the brim with clever hooks, funky bass lines and some melancholic touches. The trio likes to say their music is “straightforward and goes straight to the heart and legs”! Oh Yes.
Bewitching arrangements, warm low-pitched vocal samples and rousing percussions are NAPOLEON GOLD's favorite tools when producing their ambient electronic tracks. Before being a duo, NAPOLEON GOLD was the solo project of the electronic producer Antoine Honorez, but since February 2015, Jerome Klein (Piano/Percussions) joined NAPOLEON GOLD, adding intensity and character to the live performances. The mix between electronic sounds, guitars, piano, percussions and subtle improvisations make each show a unique experience.
